Tree surgeons marketing agencies UK: five to shortlist, from £149 to £8,000

Tree surgery marketing has an unusual feature: three agencies in this directory publish tree surgeon results, which is more than for most trades. It also has the usual problem. The person who quotes is up a tree when the phone rings. This list orders five agencies for an owner-operated arb business, with that fact front and centre.

What we checked for tree surgery firms

Three agencies here name tree surgeons and publish a tree surgeon case study or client result: Lead Wave, Nivoro and, by trade list, Get Work. That evidence counts for a lot and is noted in each entry.

Then the practical checks. Can the agency handle the phone while you are climbing? Is the fee published and fixed? Can you stop over winter, when storm work is unpredictable and planned work slows?

No swaps were needed. Every assigned agency either names the trade or sells a service that fits it. For the wider list of agencies by pricing model, see trades marketing pricing models explained.

1. LeadFly

Best for: Arb firms whose biggest problem is the unanswered phone

LeadFly in Watford works exclusively with UK trade and renovation businesses and sells the answering layer: AI voice agents for 24-7 call handling, website chatbots, AI workflow automation for quote chasing, reminders and review and referral requests, short-form video, and CRM and calendar integration. It pitches managed AI reception as cheaper than hiring office staff.

Fees are published per product: chatbots £99 a month, AI receptionist £299 a month plus setup, video £299 a month, with some one-off setup charges. No case studies are published and the one savings claim is unattributed.

For a tree surgeon this solves the exact problem of being unreachable for hours. It does not generate the enquiry; you need a site and a profile that already bring calls.

Verdict: Fixes the phone, priced transparently. A component, not a complete system.

2. Riley Marketing

Best for: Owner-operated tree surgery firms wanting site, reviews, text back and CRM on one cancellable fee

Riley Marketing names landscapers among its trades and sells a trade-agnostic foundational growth system: an SEO-focused website with service and location pages, Google Business Profile optimisation, automated Google review requests including past-customer reactivation, missed-call text back, and a CRM with lead status tracking and branded quote pages on the firm's own domain.

Where LeadFly solves the phone with an AI receptionist at £299 a month, Riley solves it with an instant text back inside a £149 a month package that also includes the website and reviews. For a one-climber business that is the more economical route to the same outcome: the caller knows you will ring back, and most will wait.

Terms are built for small firms. No setup fee, built before you pay, unlimited revisions, cancel at any time. That last point matters in a trade where January can be dead or frantic depending on the weather. Founder Tom Riley has ten years in search and lead generation and runs his own lead generation sites; clients deal with him directly.

Service and location pages suit arb work: tree felling, crown reduction, stump grinding and hedge work, each by town. Review automation matters because tree surgery is a trust purchase with a safety dimension, and a steady run of recent Google reviews does the reassuring. Google Ads, Meta ads and local SEO are available as add-ons.

Verdict: The complete small-firm package at the lowest fixed fee on the list, with the phone problem handled inside it.

3. Lead Wave

Best for: Tree surgeons who want Facebook leads flowing within days and exclusivity in their area

Lead Wave, based in Lowestoft and Norwich and trading since 2022, names tree surgeons and publishes a tree surgeon client result. It runs Facebook and Meta ads from the client's own account, shown only in their area, with one business per trade per area. Every enquiry gets an automatic text within seconds, and campaigns are typically live within an hour with first leads inside 24 hours.

Pricing is not published and is quoted via WhatsApp. Terms are month to month with no lock-in. Google Ads measured on booked jobs and websites for tradesmen are also offered.

The automatic text to every enquiry covers the phone problem for leads from the ads, though not for callers who found you elsewhere.

Verdict: Tree surgery evidence, fast start and area exclusivity. Fee unknown until you ask.

4. Nivoro Marketing

Best for: Large arb and grounds maintenance companies that want an embedded marketing team

Nivoro, in Bishopton near Glasgow, publishes a tree surgeon case study with sales-from-ad-spend results, which is why it appears here. Its core market, though, is window and door companies turning over £10m to £50m. It places a fractional CMO and team within 14 days with a performance-or-you-don't-pay promise, running Facebook and Google ads, CRM-based attribution, a weekly cost-per-appointment scoreboard and quote follow-up.

Retainers are published by company size: £8,000, £13,500 and £25,000 plus VAT a month, with ad spend paid direct. Those figures place it out of reach of almost every tree surgery business in the country.

Verdict: Proof in the trade, but a fee structure for a different scale of company.

5. Get Work

Best for: Tree surgeons who want Google Ads leads delivered through a managed platform

Get Work in Lytham St Annes names tree surgery among its trades. It builds a landing page and Google Ads funnel per tradesperson, sends text notifications for new leads and provides a lead management and job booking platform with a spend and job-value dashboard. It is a Google Partner, says its leads are exclusive to the client and works with trade associations.

Pricing is on a separate page rather than the homepage. The published case study covers first-month revenue and ROI for a roofing company. For a tree surgeon who wants paid search handled without running an account, the platform model is straightforward.

Verdict: A managed Google Ads route with the trade named. Check the fee page and ask for arb examples.

Putting a shortlist together

Start with the base. Riley Marketing gives an owner-operated arb firm a ranking site, review automation and missed-call text back for £149 a month with no commitment. That alone fixes the two leaks most tree surgeons have: no recent reviews and a phone nobody can answer at 2pm.

Then decide whether you want more enquiries or better handling of the ones you get. For more enquiries, Lead Wave has tree surgery results and starts fast; Get Work offers managed Google Ads. For handling, LeadFly's AI receptionist is the premium answer if text back is not enough. Nivoro is for a company with a fleet and a finance director.

Whatever you shortlist, use our guide to checking an agency is legitimate before any call, and compare the quotes using comparing agency proposals side by side. The fixed-fee agency list shows how these fees sit against the rest of the market.
