Loft conversion specialists marketing agencies UK: five to shortlist

A loft conversion is a decision worth tens of thousands of pounds that a household takes months over. The firms that win are the ones still in the conversation when the family finally decides. That changes what marketing has to do: fewer leads, better follow-up, more proof. These five agencies were shortlisted on that basis, two of them with loft conversions named on their sites.

What a long-decision trade needs

Three things. Enough proof online that a nervous homeowner will make the first call: reviews, photos, a professional site. A quote process that produces a document the family can share and come back to. And follow-up that does not rely on the owner remembering to ring.

Volume matters less. A loft firm that converts six jobs a year from twenty good enquiries is doing fine. So each entry is judged on proof, quoting and follow-up, then on price and terms.

One swap was made. TradesGrow does not name loft conversions and was replaced by Home Improvements Digital Marketing, which publishes a loft and garage conversion case study. For the general approach to shortlisting, see how to use this directory.

1. Riley Marketing

Best for: Owner-run loft conversion firms that want proof, quotes and follow-up built in for a fixed monthly fee

Riley Marketing lists builders among its trades and has built a site for an Essex building firm. Its system is designed around exactly the three things a loft firm needs. Review automation, including reactivation of past customers, builds the public proof. The CRM tracks every lead's status so a quote from March is not forgotten in May. Branded quote pages on the firm's own domain give the household a document to share, rather than a PDF lost in an inbox.

The rest of the package is an SEO-focused website with service and location pages, Google Business Profile optimisation and missed-call text back. Location pages matter in this trade because loft conversions are searched by town: 'loft conversion Stockton', 'dormer loft Yarm'. Each page is a route to a first enquiry.

The fee is fixed at £149 a month at the time of writing, with no setup fee. The system is built before you pay, revisions are unlimited and you can cancel at any time. For a firm that sells six-figure annual revenue from a handful of jobs, the fee is small and the terms carry no risk.

Founder Tom Riley has ten years in search and lead generation, led organic growth at an insurtech and runs his own lead generation sites. Clients deal with him directly. Google Ads, Meta ads and local SEO are add-ons for firms that want more enquiries at the top of the funnel.

Verdict: Covers proof, quoting and follow-up at the lowest fixed fee on this list with no commitment. The sensible first shortlist entry for a loft firm without a sales office.

2. Home Improvements Digital Marketing

Best for: Established loft and extension builders in Scotland wanting a full system with lead qualification

Home Improvements Digital Marketing, run by Ben Laing with case study clients in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Fife, names loft and garage conversions among its trades and publishes a loft and garage conversion case study alongside results for renovation and extension builders. It sells a system for established builders and explicitly rejects high volumes of random leads in favour of quality enquiries.

Services are SEO, Google Ads, authority video content, multiple conversion-focused websites, social media, reputation management, lead filtering and qualification, and monthly strategy and reporting. Pricing is tiered done-for-you packages with names visible but no figures.

The lead qualification layer fits the long-decision profile. The target is established firms, so a start-up loft company is not the intended client.

Verdict: Loft evidence and a qualification-led approach. Priced by quote, aimed at established Scottish builders.

3. Websites 4 Trades

Best for: New loft firms that need a credible site for the lowest monthly outlay

Websites 4 Trades charges £30 a month flat with no upfront cost, the client buying their own domain. Build, hosting, maintenance and unlimited changes are included on the standard package; SEO and logo design cost extra. It lists builders, carpenters, roofers and electricians, and has built only for trades since 2021.

Founder Carl Hancock came from plastering and labouring before marketing. Proof is a client logo wall linking to live sites rather than case studies.

For a loft firm this is a presence, not a proof engine. No reviews, no CRM, no follow-up.

Verdict: Cheapest way to exist online. Add the proof and follow-up elsewhere.

4. Leads 4 Local

Best for: London loft companies that want a priced Google Maps retainer on top of an existing site

Leads 4 Local in Tooting focuses on South and South-West London and says it specialises in local SEO for trades and service businesses, aiming for top-three Google Maps positions within months. Services are local SEO, Google Maps SEO, website design, SEO audits, reputation management, PPC, citations and schema.

Monthly tiers are published at £349, £599 and £999. No case studies are published and the client list includes dentists, estate agents and restaurants. Loft conversions are not named, though builders are.

London is the UK's densest loft conversion market, so map-pack visibility there has real value. Judge it on the price tiers and ask for builder examples.

Verdict: Clear pricing for London map rankings. No loft record shown.

5. Get Work

Best for: Loft firms that want managed Google Ads leads through a platform with booking built in

Get Work in Lytham St Annes names loft conversions among its trades. It builds a landing page and Google Ads funnel per business, sends text notifications for new leads and provides a lead management and job booking platform with a spend and job-value dashboard. It is a Google Partner, describes its leads as exclusive and works with trade associations.

Pricing is on a separate page. The published case study covers first-month revenue and ROI for a roofing company. The job-value dashboard is useful in a trade where one conversion justifies months of spend.

Verdict: Names the trade and tracks job value. Ask for loft examples and the fee.

Choosing for a loft business

If you are the owner, the surveyor and the person who forgets to chase quotes, Riley Marketing is the shortlist leader because it puts the CRM, the quote page and the review request on autopilot for a fee you can stop. Nothing else here does all three.

An established Scottish firm should talk to Home Improvements Digital Marketing, which has loft work in its case studies. A London firm with a site already could add Leads 4 Local for the map pack. Get Work is the managed paid-search option for any loft company that wants more first calls. Websites 4 Trades is for the firm that has nothing online yet and needs something this month.

Loft conversion and extension marketing overlap heavily, so read our extension builders shortlist as well, and the fixed-fee agency comparison to see how these fees sit against the market.

Frequently asked questions

Which agencies name loft conversions?

Home Improvements Digital Marketing publishes a loft and garage conversion case study, and Get Work lists loft conversions among its trades. Riley Marketing, Websites 4 Trades and Leads 4 Local serve builders generally.

Why does follow-up matter more for loft conversions than for other trades?

Because the decision takes months. A quote sent in spring may convert in autumn only if the firm is still in touch. A CRM that tracks each lead, as Riley Marketing includes, stops those quotes going cold.

How many leads does a loft conversion company need?

Fewer than most trades. With jobs worth tens of thousands, a steady handful of good enquiries a month supports a small firm. Quality and follow-up matter more than volume.

Is Google Ads worth it for loft conversions?

It can be, given the job value, but only once reviews and a credible site exist to convert the click. Get Work offers managed Google Ads; Riley Marketing treats ads as an add-on to its base system.
